At times it would have been very helpful if Town Council members were able to join-in on a Council meeting from a remote location or because they were prevented by bad weather or an urgent home/office issue.

The town was provided with a Conferencing Bridge enabling Town Council members to be part of the meeting. This communication could further be enhanced with the use of "softphones" through an internet connection which enables one to call free of charge from any location. The potential of video conferencing was also made possible.

• The town's Council members and requested employee(s) can stay in touch and miss fewer meetings
• More likely to have the necessary quorum
• Service could be expanded to provide live access of Town meetings to residents, providing greater community involvement
